I am an experienced web and software developer and have worked for several years in a variety of positions and environments. My primary focus the last few years has been the development of browser based applications and hosting platforms using the LAMP stack (Linux/Node.js/Nginx MySQL/PHP/Javascript).
Have worked for large corporates, start-ups and freelance, in both on-site and remote working teams. This has given me a solid insight into the various challenges experienced by the various players and the trade-offs that needed to be made between technology and business.
Work experience includes work in military, financial (online stock trading), medical, documentation management, CMS, site hosting and general web applications.
One of my strongest skills is the ability to rapidly adapt to new environments and technologies. I thrive on learning new skills, experimenting with the latest technology and furthering my experience through new and interesting projects.
My view on building solutions for business is that no one tool fits all solutions, each problem needs to be analyzed and its unique aspects taken into account, and the correct technology set applied to the task at hand, meeting the clients requirements not only in performance and technology sectors, but also in cost of ownership and future enhancements
